Needs Map for Ukrainian Refugees Platform was created for the immigrants, who were exposed to war in Ukraine and had to leave their country, based on the principle of “bringing together the people who are in need with the supporters”, which is the basic mission of the Needs Map.
“Needs Map for Ukrainian Refugees & IDPs” is a cutting-edge online platform (https://needsmap.coop/ukrainianrefugees/) that leverages the power of mapping technology to help address the pressing needs of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine. The platform is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) London HQ, which has provided financial support to develop and launch this innovative solution. In this regard, the platform provides a crowdsource data collection mechanism that enables NGOs, volunteers, and other concerned organizations to identify and document the most pressing needs of these vulnerable populations. This information is then displayed on an interactive map, providing a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the needs and challenges facing refugees and IDPs in Ukraine. Moreover, the platform also provides a communication hub for NGOs and volunteers working on the ground, allowing them to collaborate and coordinate their efforts more effectively. This ensures the sustainability of support for refugees and IDPs, and helps to direct resources to where they are most needed. Furthermore, the platform’s real-time monitoring capabilities allow organizations and volunteers to stay informed about the latest developments and respond quickly to changing circumstances. With the “Needs Map for Ukrainian Refugees & IDPs”, NGOs and volunteers can work together to support refugees and IDPs in a more efficient, effective, and sustainable way.
